Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Professional to join our team as a full-time Teaching Assistant at a secondary school located near central Manchester. The ideal candidate will have the ability to assist in classroom environments, supporting students in engaging with lessons and providing individualized help when needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a real difference in the lives of young people. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to develop lesson plans and implement them in the classroom.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and have a high level of patience and understanding. A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to support student engagement and learning
  • Provide individualized support to students who require additional help outside of class time
  • Support students with special educational needs, following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with teachers and parents as necessary

Requirements:

  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a teaching or support role
  • Valid enhanced DBS check
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
