Career and Skills Progression Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Career and Skills Progression Advisor to join our team at Adult Community Learning (ACL). The successful candidate will work in a customer-facing role, actively engaging with future and existing learners to support them in achieving their goals and moving into positive destinations.
The Career and Skills Progression Advisor will provide high-quality and impartial information, advice, and guidance to learners, using effective referral processes and signposting to both internal and external support. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a team, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality information, advice, and guidance to learners
- Facilitate self-directed learning opportunities within ACL centres
- Raise learner aspirations and identify individual needs
- Develop and maintain high-quality information resources for learners and stakeholders

Adult Community Learning (ACL) is Essex County Council's provider of lifelong learning experiences for residents. We offer qualifications to help people move nearer to, enter, or progress within the workplace or gain skills to enhance life chances.
What You'll Need:
- Careers Education, Information Advice and Guidance practitioner qualification at Level 2 or equivalent by experience
- Well-developed organisational skills and experience of working in a team
- Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area
- Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment with excellent communication skills
Salary: £23,344 - £26,011 per annum, full-time equivalent
