We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Professional to join our team at a primary school in Dronfield. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to provide individualized support to a pupil with suspected SEN needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with additional learning needs, particularly those with non-verbal Autism. A recognized teaching assistant qualification and Team Teach Training are desirable, but not essential.

The role involves working 1-1 with the pupil, using visual aids such as PECs and Makaton to support their learning and engagement. The successful candidate will be confident in managing challenging behaviors and creating a calm and positive environment for the pupil to thrive.

We are looking for a committed and passionate individual who is eager to make a positive impact on the pupil's life. If you have a calm and patient demeanor, a positive can-do attitude, and a passion for supporting children with SEN needs, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a pupil with suspected SEN needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement support plans
  • Use visual aids such as PECs and Makaton to support the pupil's learning and engagement
  • Manage challenging behaviors and create a calm and positive environment for the pupil
