Penguin Recruitment is proud to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Town Planner to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Town Planning Consultancy in Bristol.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK planning regulations and policies, with proven experience in managing and delivering complex planning projects.

As a Senior Town Planner, you will lead and manage a portfolio of planning projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. You will also prepare and review planning applications, planning statements, and supporting documentation.

In addition, you will conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and strategic planning initiatives, and mentor and guide junior planners to foster their professional development.

The successful candidate will have a degree or higher in a relevant subject with chartered status with RTPI, and a highly motivated commercial approach with the ability to work as part of and lead a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of planning projects
  • Prepare and review planning applications and supporting documentation
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies
  • Mentor and guide junior planners
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and policy changes
