Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Commissioning Specialist at HDR, you will be responsible for managing all commissioning activities on a project, serving as the main contact between the client and HDR. You will adhere to budgeted man-hours and execute commissioning services, coordinating with the client and assisting contractors in scheduling commissioning activities. Your duties will also include performing other tasks as needed.

Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel frequently and as needed, with duration and frequency dependent on HDR's requirements.
  • Must be an experienced engineer, either a licensed PE or a field technician with excellent understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, and the T&B process.
  • Must have good computer skills and effective typing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project software.
  • Ability and interest in working with others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be familiar with the organization of design documents, preparation of multidiscipline designs, and delivery of design and construction services.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the United States and immediately available to begin work in the specified location.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, systems engineering, operations fundamentals, contracting, and general business operations.
  • Understanding of project accounting and financial management tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
