About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Aviation, Travel & Tourism to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our students from Level 1-3 Aviation, Travel & Tourism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of all our Aviation, Travel & Tourism courses
  • Design and deliver engaging learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Participate in the College's appraisal process and undertake any training as required
  • Schedule teaching, student assignments, and tutorials
  • Support students with distance learning
  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assignment schedules
  • Develop learning materials and student assignments
Requirements
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
  • Graduate in a relevant subject area
  • Minimum Level 3 or Graduate in the relevant subject area, such as L3 BTEC Travel & Tourism
  • Vocational expertise within the Travel & Tourism and Aviation Industry, including Air Cabin Crew
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
