Data Solutions Designer

Salary: Up to £65,000

Aviva's Data Analytics Platform Design team is seeking a skilled Solution Designer to join their innovative and tech-focused team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in defining solutions to support various development and transformation projects, balancing business needs with the need to modernize our complex IT estate.

The ideal candidate will have a mature understanding of ETL, Data Warehouse, and Big Data stack design and engineering, with a proven ability to collaboratively define IT Data solutions in a complex environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret business requirements and define high-level solution designs that are high-performing, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Propose, evaluate, and present design options to business users and Data Engineering teams.
  • Keep abreast of Aviva's IT strategy and ensure solution designs align with our roadmap.
  • Support the definition of infrastructure on which solutions will run.
  • Develop an appreciation of Aviva's product set and the data sets that describe them.
