We are seeking a Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer to work with Axiom clients across various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues across a range of areas.
  • Implementing legal and regulatory change projects, including developing template agreements and negotiation guidelines.
  • Advising on regulations such as MiFID II, UCITS V, AIFMD, CASS, CRD IV, EMIR, Dodd Frank, DGSD, FSMA, RDR, CCP clearing, CCA, Payment Services Directive, Market Abuse Directive, the Volcker Rule, and FATCA.
  • Drafting and maintaining internal policies to ensure firm compliance and implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Working with international regulators, such as the FCA, SEC, AMF, CSSF, CBI, BaFin, and industry bodies to respond to consultation papers.
  • Assisting the business team in establishing new product offerings and setting out the regulatory and legal framework for distributing structured products and alternative investments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good academic credentials and post-qualification experience.
  • In-house legal experience is preferred (directly or as a secondee).
  • Strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You must have the right to work and be eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
