Job Description

Role Overview

As a Service Delivery Volunteer with Victim Support, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support services to individuals affected by crime. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community and develop valuable skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support victims of all crime types and traumatic events, providing emotional and practical assistance to help them cope with their experiences.
  • Learn and apply the Victim Support Service Model to effectively support victims and ensure they receive the best possible care.
  • Attend networking events and community gatherings across North Wales to raise awareness about Victim Support's services and build relationships with local stakeholders.
  • Participate in volunteer team meetings and contribute to the development of Victim Support's services in North Wales.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or over.
  • Be able to commit to volunteering for at least 3 hours per week for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Complete a 10-week training program, including virtual training sessions, a workbook, and online learning modules.
  • Undergo a DBS check and join the DBS update service.
  • Provide two satisfactory references.
  • Have an active email address for communication with Victim Support.
