Homelessness Lawyer Opportunity

We are partnering with a Local Authority client in the West Midlands to appoint a Homelessness Lawyer on a locum basis for 6-12 months.

This role offers home working with regular Court attendance required in the West Midlands at short notice. The hourly rate for the role is £45 p/hour UMB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixed caseload of Homelessness Law matters, including pre-action protocols, judicial review, and appeals.
  • Advise the client on homelessness and appeal queries, the Homelessness Reduction Act, and legislation.
  • Attend Court trials in the West Midlands on an ad-hoc basis, alongside a Barrister.
  • Support the City Solicitor and Legal team with regard to the conduct of legal casework.

Requirements:

  • Conduct own advocacy.
  • Strong knowledge of Housing Management & ASB.

Working Hours:

  • 35 hours per week.
  • Monday – Friday.
