Project Engineer Job Opportunity

Our client, a leading manufacturer of electrical power and distribution equipment, is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the management of site works, ensuring that projects are completed within the agreed contract period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers in the management of site works
  • Ensure adherence to company Health and Safety and Environmental policies
  • Programme work to ensure labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors are available when required
  • Maintain project files, including weekly diaries, method statements, delivery tickets, and work sheets
  • Continuously seek to improve quality and service
  • Make efficient use of resources, including plant and materials
  • Liaise with internal staff, subcontractors, and clients

Occasional travel to sites, clients, subcontractors, or suppliers may be required, which may involve staying away overnight. The ideal candidate will have a HNC or degree-level qualification in an engineering subject, with some experience working in a project engineering environment. Experience in sheet metal fabrication or steel erecting is preferred, as is the ability to utilize MS Office suite.

Requirements:
  • HNC or degree-level qualification in an engineering subject
