Team/Specialism: Leaving Care

Contract: Locum, 3-Months

Hours: Part-time 3x days a week

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Children, Young People and Education Directorate's senior management team in discharging corporate objectives, influencing strategic decision making, assessing and mitigating corporate risk.
  • Deliver key projects within the directorate's improvement plan, ensuring accountability for delivering/supporting: 1) Project governance and project(s) delivery. 3) Effective use of transformation investments. 4) Occasional ad hoc support for additional work.
  • Develop and deliver improvement models of service delivery which deliver better outcomes across children's services as well as achieving financial sustainability in times of reducing resources.
  • Manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and providers within a programme environment, and in a complex matrix system, making day-to-day decisions to ensure the project remains on track, assessing levels of risk and impact on budgetary constraints within agreed tolerances.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Children's Services.
