
Internal Communications Strategist

Job Description:
As a Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering effective internal communications strategies that engage and inform employees across all levels of the organisation.
You will work closely with senior executives to communicate consistent messages aligned to business priorities and change programmes, and ensure that all communication activities are well-planned, executed, and measured to drive business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in internal communications, with a strong track record of developing and implementing successful campaigns that have improved employee engagement, retention, and productivity.
You will also have excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
In addition to your technical skills, you will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the organisation's goals and objectives, as well as the needs and preferences of its employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and measure the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and campaigns
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, line managers, and other key stakeholders
- Communicate consistently and effectively through various channels, including email, intranet, and face-to-face meetings
- Monitor and analyse employee sentiment and feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement integrated communication plans that support business objectives
- Identify opportunities for storytelling and advocacy to enhance employee engagement and pride
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in internal communications, preferably in a leadership role
- Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful internal communications campaigns
- Experience with social media, event planning, and multimedia production
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (depending on experience)
