Project Manager Job Description

VANRATH is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Newry, Northern Ireland. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary design and build team, ensuring they meet contract requirements and deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the design and site teams' performance, ensuring they are in line with contract requirements.
  • Maintain oversight of all project activities, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Deliver low-carbon buildings and unique projects, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and deliver a high level of service to clients.
  • Manage and control costs, maintaining regular and consistent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal personnel.
  • Follow and comply with all policies and procedures, managing workload to ensure delivery of service to a high-quality level.
  • Monitor consultant and contractor performance, preparing cash flow forecasts and implementing project control and administration systems.
  • Report project progress and risks to clients and management, preparing site assessments, due diligence reports, and project control reports.
Requirements:
  • Recognized construction qualification (BSc/HNC/HND)
  • Valid CSR Card or formal Health and Safety Training
  • Full UK Driving License
  • 5 years' experience in the construction industry
  • Demonstratable NEC forms of contract experience
  • Demonstratable experience working with Contract Management Platforms
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Delivery of projects for public sector clients
  • Demonstratable experience of leading the delivery of projects with a construction value exceeding £10 million
