Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Event Chef De Partie to join our team on a temporary basis. As an Event Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food for events, including canapés, bowl food, weddings, film premiers, and seated plated dinners/banquets.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food for events, including canapés, bowl food, weddings, film premiers, and seated plated dinners/banquets
  • Plating up and garnishing food at functions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality food is served
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth event operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards

Requirements:

  • Relevant chef experience, preferably in a volume food environment
  • Minimum experience needed at the Chef De Partie level
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
  • Allergen Training Certificate
  • Own presentable chef whites, hat, apron, knives, and steel toe cap safety shoes
  • Right to work in the UK

What We Offer:

  • Hourly paid or day rate for band and film work
  • £16.06-£18 per hour (£18.00 to £20.17 per hour inclusive of holiday)
  • Rate per hour - this depends on each client, then your experience and the role
  • Weekly paid
  • Times of work: Monday to Friday, 8am till 4.30/6pm + evening functions minimum 6 hours
  • Evening functions may suit you if you want extra work around a full-time job
  • Some weekends to support functions, i.e., weddings

Travel and Accommodation:

  • Client kitchens are based throughout London to suit your home or work location
  • Evening functions majority-based in London, so can suit your home or work location
  • Weekend functions and weddings may be outside London
  • Functions out of London: travel time and travel cost paid
  • Taxis home provided if public transport is not available
