Job Title: Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to live safe and fulfilled lives, achieving personal goals, learning new hobbies, and participating in community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Support clients in developing and maintaining daily routines and habits
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities and social events
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months of experience working with adults with learning disabilities and autism
  • Confidence in performing physical interventions and restraint training
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
  • Valid driver's license with business insurance
