Senior Leadership Role in Children and Young People's Services

As a Senior Professional Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the South West area. Your key responsibilities will include providing credible and visible professional clinical leadership, supporting, co-ordinating, and assuring ICB and whole system work on improving the patient experience, particularly within the Children and Young People Transformation Programme.

Key aspects of this role will be to manage relevant patient experience delivery plans at local level, manage the appropriate systems and processes to enable the implementation of The Long Term Plan in organisations across the South West region, and proactively manage key risks and issues associated with ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate or respond to identified risks related to Domain 4 and adult and child safeguarding.

The NHS England board has set out the top-level purpose for the new organisation to lead the NHS in England to deliver high-quality services for all. This purpose will inform the detailed design work, and we will achieve this by:

  • Enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.

  • Working collaboratively to ensure our healthcare workforce has the right knowledge, skills, values, and behaviours to deliver accessible, compassionate care.
  • Optimising the use of digital technology, research, and innovation.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

NHS England holds a Sponsor Licence, which means we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route, you will usually need to be paid the standard salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the going rate for your job, whichever is higher.
