Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Digital Support Specialist to join our team at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our digital services department, you will be responsible for providing 2nd line technical support to end-users, acting as a liaison between 1st and 2nd line support, and responding to Service Desk calls that cannot be resolved by the 1st Line team.

Main Duties:

  • Provide 2nd line technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting, fault resolution, and technical advice.
  • Act as a liaison between 1st and 2nd line support teams, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Respond to Service Desk calls that cannot be resolved by the 1st Line team, using ITIL service principles and processes.
  • Maintain and update the Groups base Desktop and Laptop image, ensuring appropriate driver packs are available as part of the image installation.
  • Work with the Cyber Security team to resolve identified issues or high severity CareCert notifications.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and self-help instructional documents and videos.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree education or equivalent level of experience delivering Digital services.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in ITIL service principles and processes.
  • Experience of working with expensive digital equipment and configuration, testing, and installation software, repair, and maintenance of digital equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills suitable for a range of audiences.
  • Able to clearly manage priorities for self, staff, and teams in order to meet targets.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
