About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team of professionals working in secondary schools in Newcastle. This is a flexible role with both full-time and part-time positions available, offering long-term and day-to-day opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising classes when teachers are absent, ensuring students stay on task and the classroom is a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to students, engaging them and ensuring they are on task.
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies and reporting back to senior staff on any issues arising from the lesson.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and control student behaviour.
  • Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions.
  • Flexibility to work on a long-term or day-to-day basis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
