About the Role

As a key member of our team at Hernshead Recruitment Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance within our organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the development of the Audit Plan and be the primary auditor for AOC and ATO approvals.
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments of sub-contractor organizations, focusing on AOC and ATO compliance.
  • Oversight and management of findings and observations to ensure corrective and root cause corrections are implemented.
  • Prepare and analyze compliance monitoring performance data.
  • Develop and maintain audit checklists in Centrik, particularly for AOC and ATO audits.
  • Support the approval process for providers to ensure operational and training compliance.
  • Proactively identify and address compliance issues across the organization.
  • Provide expert advice on compliance matters.
  • Support external auditors and deputize for the Head of Safety and Compliance as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Safety and Compliance and Safety Reporting Manager to promote aviation safety across all activities.
  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis related to operational and training safety cases.
  • Support the identification, documentation, and management of hazards through risk assessments and associated actions.
  • Provide safety and safety performance data, and monitor Safety Performance Indicators.
  • Support the Safety Reporting Manager in managing Safety Action Groups.
  • Contribute to the development and provision of safety training, including recurrent training.
  • Offer expert advice on safety matters.

Requirements:

  • Have a solid understanding of CAA Regulations, particularly those related to Operations and Management Systems.
  • Be a trained auditor with experience in internal audits covering CAA/EASA Regulations.
  • Have experience in investigating occurrences and be a trained investigator.
  • Be proficient in using Centrik for safety and compliance management.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in a safety or compliance role for a helicopter company.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in flight or ground operations, maintenance, or continuing airworthiness management for an aviation-related company.
  • Be located within commuting distance of our offices.
  • Be willing to undertake required training to gain competency in safety and compliance tasks.
