About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Brackenrigg Inn, located in the beautiful Lake District National Park. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for supporting and managing the day-to-day operations of the inn, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the inn's operations, including financial performance, staff management, and guest services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to create innovative menus and promotions that showcase the best of local produce.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor and control costs, including inventory management, stock control, and cash handling.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of hospitality operations, including financial management, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
