Job Title: Analytical Chemist

We are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join our team at LGC Assure. As an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for performing analysis on a wide range of product matrices, testing products for substances prohibited in sport and verifying key nutritional parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform extraction techniques, including solid phase extraction, liquid/liquid, and automated liquid handling
  • Use high-spec analytical instrumentation for chromatography and mass spectrometry, including GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, and HRAM
  • Perform instrumental analysis to verify protein content
  • Data analysis and review using TraceFinder and Masshunter applications
  • Work within an ISO17025 accredited laboratory
Requirements:
  • Degree level or equivalent in Chemistry or related subject covering analytical techniques and instrumentation
  • Experience of working in a food testing/analytical laboratory would be desirable
