We are seeking a highly skilled Certification and Airworthiness Expert to join our team at Onyx-Conseil. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing airworthiness and certification expertise to support the approval of changes and in-service support.
Main Responsibilities- Provide certification expertise and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with airworthiness and certification requirements.
- Define, progress, and facilitate test and analysis to verify compliance with relevant certification specifications.
- Attend design and project meetings to provide airworthiness and certification inputs and progress reports.
- Facilitate compliance verification and design approval of completed changes.
- Review reported failures, malfunctions, and defects that may affect airworthiness and determine necessary action.
- Maintain technical competency and currency to be effective in the role.
- Help develop competency of other team members as required.
Essential
- Suitably qualified and experienced person to deliver airworthiness and certification deliverables.
- Working knowledge of FAR/JAR/CS 27 and 29 Certification Specifications.
- Working knowledge of CAA IR 21J DOA and MAA DAOS process and practices.
- Sound understanding of Aircraft System and Software Safety Analysis processes.
- A good aviation background based in the Engineering discipline.
- Broad engineering knowledge of aircraft airframe, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Good working knowledge and well-practiced in compliance findings with certification codes.
- Equipment qualification processes and related standards (Civil and/or equivalent Military Requirements).
- Computer literate in MS Office & Google desktop applications.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload in a dynamic business environment.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to assess evidence and develop conclusions based on that evidence in a logical and structured fashion.
- Aeronautical or equivalent Degree, or;
- Equivalent experience with another professional qualification may be considered, or;
- Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent training.
Essential
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to communicate and negotiate internally and externally at all levels.
- Commercially aware.
- Team player with the ability to work effectively under pressure on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a team environment and being able to fulfill the role required by the team even when that role may vary from project to project.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to assess evidence and develop conclusions based on that evidence in a logical and structured fashion.
- A self-motivated, reliable individual, with a diligent yet flexible approach, employing high standards and the means to prioritize work for best effect.
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years industry-related experience in aircraft/rotorcraft.
- Design integration experience.
- A proven track record of technical knowledge.
- Experience of design for rotorcraft is an advantage.
- Experience of system integration for rotorcraft an advantage.
- Military experience an advantage.
