About the Role
The Digital Preservation Coalition is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Digital Archivist to lead our team of digital archivists in the preservation and management of our vast digital collections. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the lifecycle of our digital records, from receipt and ingest to preservation and access.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of digital records, including receipt, ingest, preservation, and access
- Analyse and prepare digital records and metadata for our digital archive
- Collaborate with our in-house product management and software development teams to build and improve our digital preservation tools
- Line-manage a team of digital archivists, providing guidance and direction, and motivating the team to deliver to our objectives
- Play a major role in our work to establish a new cloud-based digital repository
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced digital archivist who is passionate about preserving and making accessible digital records. You will have a strong background in digital preservation, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
