Aon is currently recruiting a Senior Broker to join the Counter Terrorism team, which forms part of the wider Crisis Management practice within our Global Broking Centre.

Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Counter Terrorism business within the Lloyd's and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client management and broking in servicing for a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the processing/documentation team.
  • Provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance produced by our documentation team.
  • Placement with insurers, including electronic trading.
  • Contribute to the growth of the portfolio.
  • Support and lead tenders.
  • Proactively manage market relationships and support our broking strategy.
Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven international terrorism insurance/reinsurance experience.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of London Market processes and broking.
  • Key carrier/underwriter relationships.
  • Proven experience in managing effective client relationships.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.

We offer a salary of around £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
