Look no further We are seeking a Clinical Services Assistant to join our dynamic team within the Gynaecology Ward at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

In this role, you will provide administrative support to medical, nursing, and other staff, including answering telephone calls, responding to queries, and booking appointments. You will also be responsible for ordering transport for patients, requesting allied healthcare professionals, and completing paperwork.

As a Clinical Services Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that patient records are accurate and up-to-date, and that patients receive the best possible care. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate patient care activities, including receiving new patients and checking their records
  • Respond to visitor inquiries and inform Sister/Charge Nurse of any queries
  • Answer the telephone and respond to questions or requests
  • Arrange transportation for patients and complete necessary paperwork
  • Coordinate referrals to outpatient services and notify relevant departments
  • Communicate with pathology to request urgent blood specimens
  • Retrieve and update patient records from various departments
  • Report maintenance issues to engineering teams
