We are partnering with a Local Authority in Shropshire to assist with the appointment of a Driver on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: per hour
Hours Per Week: 19.75
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and efficient transportation to and from day services on behalf of Shropshire Council.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information for all transport services.
- Liaise with the Specialist Travel Coordinator (Fleet Services) on a regular basis to ensure that services and staff training are efficient and up-to-date.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks before the route commences and ensure that vehicles are properly prepared and clean for their route.
- Ensure all risk assessments are up-to-date in the vehicle pack.
- Ensure route and vehicle diaries are completed and accurate.
- Have knowledge of harnesses, clamping systems, and other equipment to vehicles as required and regularly inspect equipment and replace faulty or damaged equipment as necessary.
Requirements:
- You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the U.K.
- This role requires a basic DBS.
