Maintenance Operations Coordinator

As a key member of the Sofitel London St James team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel. Your primary focus will be on leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a safe and functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Provide technical support and offer a hands-on role within the department to carry out works including plumbing, painting & decorating, carpentry, general building works, and minor electrical and mechanical engineering work.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, minimizing their impact on facility operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs.
Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects and competitive pricing.
Carry out administrative duties, including record-keeping with regard to the team, PPM updates, contractors (management), and financial statutory and non-statutory requirements within the department and hotel.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance management or supervision, preferably in a hotel environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Entitled to work in the UK
