Job Title: Legal SecretaryThe role of a Legal Secretary is essential to the smooth operation of any law firm. In this position, you will support the Solicitors with various administrative tasks related to conveyancing. Your duties may include:
- Managing and organizing meetings
- Opening and closing case files
- General administrative duties such as answering phone calls and taking messages
- Transcribing and proofreading legal documents
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate files with high attention to detail
In order to succeed in this role, you will require knowledge and experience in conveyancing. Additionally, you should possess strong organizational and time management skills, allowing you to meet deadlines efficiently. Experience with manual and electronic filing systems is also necessary. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, including proficiency in using email effectively. Working as part of a team and possessing your own initiative are key qualities for this position.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
