Financial Analyst

The MM Flowers business is a leading supplier of fresh cut flowers and bouquets to the UK's and Europe's leading flower retailers.

As a Finance Business Partner at MM Flowers, you will play a key role in delivering financial growth and budget attainment within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide financial analysis and support to key stakeholders within the business.
2. Produce weekly variances reports analysing business performance across customers, identifying and highlighting key trends and recommendations.
3. Work closely with the Planning and Operational teams to identify operational performance and provide robust variance analysis.
4. Develop and maintain forecast models, assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling reforecasts.
5. Understand the financial impact of Capital Expenditure and communicate this to relevant stakeholders to enable better decision making.
6. Collaborate with analytics and BI functions to drive improvements in insight, reporting and processes.
7. Work closely with the financial control team to ensure Management Accounts accuracy and insight.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Higher level understanding of Excel is essential
• Ability to design, create and interpret complex data sources and present findings to key stakeholders
• Analytical skills to analyse, interpret and present financial and business data
• Organisational skills with personal efficiency, time management and prioritisation
• Communication skills to manage diverse personalities and viewpoints
• Commercial acumen to influence strategic decision-making within the business
• Role modelling to demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives and culture of the organisation
