We are seeking a highly skilled Duty Manager to join our team at YHA Broad Haven, a small hostel located on the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline.

This is a 25-hour per week fixed-term role for 12 months with potential for permanent employment. As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of exceptional guest experiences and contributing to the overall success of our hostel.

The Role

As a Duty Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting team members across all areas of the hostel, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Utilizing our systems for efficient guest check-ins, check-outs, and management functions.
  • Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for guests.
  • Assisting in the kitchen, serving food and drinks with warmth and hospitality, enhancing the dining experience, while engaging in authentic conversations.
  • Deputising for the Hostel/Deputy Manager, managing daily hostel operations in their absence.

What We Value

Our ideal candidate will possess flexibility to cover different shifts and tasks, prior customer service experience an advantage but not essential. Experience in hospitality or customer service, especially in delivering high-quality service, is highly beneficial. Desirable qualifications include Food Safety Level 2 and APLH Level 2, but these are not mandatory.

Good communication skills and basic IT proficiency are advantageous, and excellent time management is crucial in our dynamic environment. Earn £12,928 - £13,064 per annum (based on a 25-hour working week)
