This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Heavy Vehicle Repair Technician in our Fleet Workshop facility in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing emergency response vehicles and equipment to a high standard.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair emergency response vehicles and equipment to a high standard.
- Deliver high-quality vehicle and equipment support to front-line colleagues throughout the West Region with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to the development of the workshop team through sharing knowledge and expertise.
- A minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or comparable qualification) in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of cars and light commercial vehicles.
- A strong understanding of electrical and tail lift repairs.
The successful candidate will work a full-time position working a weekly alternating early/late shift (between 06:00 to 21:15hrs) 37 hours Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and public holiday working. Weekend working on a 1 weekend in 6 rota, Saturday or Sunday with a rest day taken in the following week may also be required.
