Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for providing support to qualified staff in managing risk, developing therapeutic relationships, and supporting people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. The successful candidate will work as a member of our multidisciplinary team on an acute older persons mental health ward, assisting in promoting independence and daily living skills, including personal hygiene, diet, and fluids.

You will work closely with other professionals to deliver seamless care across the region, ensuring that patients receive the right support, in the right place, at the right time. This position requires a strong understanding of the importance of promoting independence and daily living skills, including personal hygiene, diet, and fluids, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The ideal candidate will have a Fitness to Work certificate, and the ability to pass Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training. Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in an environment where clients demonstrate challenging behavior, would be highly desirable.
