The Role at Shoosmiths

We are looking for a talented Corporate Transaction Specialist to join our dynamic team in Belfast. As a key member of our corporate team, you will have the opportunity to gain excellent exposure to high-quality work, working closely alongside our local team of legal advisors and the wider national corporate team.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will primarily involve assisting on a wide range of complex and high-profile corporate transactions. This will include, but is not limited to:

• Conducting due diligence;

• Drafting and negotiating documents and reports;

• Reviewing and collating documentation;

• Communicating effectively and confidently with national and international clients, external solicitors, and other third parties;

• Acting as a coordinator between other departments within Shoosmiths;

• Assisting legal advisors in the department with various corporate law matters and administrative tasks.

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with the following skills and qualifications:

• Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external clients;

• Excellent attention to detail taken with all correspondence and documentation;

• Flexible according to client needs, with the ability to adapt to change, new practices, and remain calm under pressure;

• Able to integrate within a team as well as working on your own initiative;

• Prepared to get involved in business development, including the attendance at networking and other marketing events.
