About the Role:Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd is representing a successful company specialising in Height Safety Equipment, Structural Steelwork and Marine & General Engineering. This role has become available due to company growth and an expanding order book.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a construction environment, with knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems and a background in the marine and port industry.
Duties:- CAD 2D & 3D detailing of construction, marine and industrial drawings.
- Concept drawing for tenders and presentations.
- Material take offs and preparing material lists for pricing.
- Specification and ordering of materials.
- Creating workshop manufacturing drawings and profile drawings for CNC cutting.
- Working with workshop supervisors to identify issues and resolve problems.
- Control of manufacturing documents and records in accordance with our management systems.
- Liaising with clients to resolve production queries.
- Working with project staff and sub-contractors in the successful delivery of the final project.
- Previous experience in the structural steel manufacturing industry is essential.
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced technician able to work with our team to create preliminary concept designs and take them through to final manufacturing detail and construction drawings.
- Site experience is necessary, as the ideal candidate will be expected to visit local sites to complete surveys with our engineers.
This role offers the opportunity to work on unique solutions for our clients and to move away from standard construction and house building steelwork.
