About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on a wide range of Electrical and Instrumentation plant systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on Electrical and Instrumentation plant systems
  • Carry out project work, breakdown repairs, and safe isolations
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the plant
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the optimal performance of the plant

Requirements:

  • Time served Electrician or Instrument Mechanic holding recognised apprenticeship (e.g. NVQ level 3 Electrical Instrumentation or equivalent)
  • Able to understand single-line electrical drawings, instructions, and manuals
  • Proficient in English and Maths
  • Become Developed Vetting cleared (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial, criminal record checks, interview plus 10 years of UK residency)
  • Self-motivated, driven, and resilient
  • Able to make correct and informed decisions under pressure
  • Evidence of self-motivation with demonstrable levels of drive, energy, and resilience
  • Required to become Appointed as a Nominated Person Electrical

Desirable Criteria:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Operation & Maintenance requirements associated with their area
  • Knowledge of maintenance programmes and company standards/industry best practice
  • IOSHH Working Safely
