About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Partnerships Development Specialist to join our team at BT Group. As a key member of our partnership management team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development through strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Grow Partnerships: Develop and execute strategies to grow and manage partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with BT Group's business objectives.
  • Champion Emerging Trends: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and changes in partnership management, and share knowledge with the team to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Coach and Develop Talent: Coach and develop team members to enhance their capabilities and performance, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Contribute to Partnership Strategy: Contribute to the development of the wider partner management strategy, ensuring it targets all aspects of services provided by partners and drives performance.
  • Improve Working Processes: Identify opportunities to improve working processes within the partnership management area, and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Align Partners with Group Strategies: Coordinate the alignment of key partners with group partnership strategies, working with critical stakeholders across the unit to achieve objectives and ensure shared goals.
  • Identify and Build New Relationships: Identify and build new relationships with strategic partners, with the objective of agreeing areas of mutual beneficial value amongst potential partners.
  • Coordinate Performance Analysis: Coordinate the analysis of performance data from various sources, and create executive-level reports to inform business decisions.
  • Implement and Manage KPIs: Implement and manage KPIs that measure the performance of partners, ensuring that contracted services are fit-for-purpose and value for money.
  • Manage Contract Activities: Manage ongoing contract management activities throughout the lifecycle, including variations, amendments, price adjustments, and management of contract change notices.
  • Participate in Review Meetings: Participate in regular review meetings with the partners' account team to report and review performance.
Requirements
  • Managing Risk: Act as a subject matter expert in identifying, assessing, and responding to risks, applying expert judgment to consider business opportunities and advise key decision makers.
  • Use Data Analytics: Coordinate and establish the development and use of data analytics to make decisions, providing comprehensive commercial expertise to deliver data analytics capability.
  • Measuring Effectiveness: Identify, set up, and modify reports and tools to track operational performance for multiple areas, guiding others to review, analyze, and interpret data to generate insights for decision-making.
  • Business Partnership: Advise stakeholders and help them navigate business changes, using other subject matter experts as needed to develop solutions and challenge appropriately.
  • Partnership Management: Identify and select new partners to align with strategic goals, leading partner relationships and taking responsibility for managing performance levels and alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Be Agile: Demonstrate collaborative ways of working and continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of best practices to deliver the best results for customers.
Experience
  • Coordinate Stakeholder Relationships: Coordinate internal and external stakeholder relationships, guiding decisions based on commercial contact insights.
  • Build Credible Relationships: Build credible relationships underpinned by data and trust.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across different areas of the business to identify opportunities to generate value.
  • Commercial Knowledge: Interpret commercial constructs, understand their bottom and top-line impact, and successfully negotiate savings.
  • Use Data to Inform Decisions: Use data to substantiate recommendations and influence decision-making.
  • Telecommunications Experience: Work within a telecommunications environment or similar technical industry.
