Sports and Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sports and Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children with special educational needs and make a real difference in their lives.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with the teacher and other support staff to ensure the students are staying active and engaged throughout the school day. This will involve promoting wellbeing and an active lifestyle to support the pupils' physical and mental health.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with challenging behaviours to unlock their potential and maximise their success.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and inclusivity.
  • Work with the teacher to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • EWC registration.
  • Two recent references.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training.
