Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Procurement Director to lead our procurement team in delivering engineering projects for Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement programs and driving results across multiple organizations.

About the Role

The Strategic Procurement Director will be responsible for managing new and existing procurement programs, influencing design and development of strategic procurement programs, recognizing and resolving issues, and owning program communication. The successful candidate will also develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to milestones and performance across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new and existing procurement programs, ensuring successful delivery across multiple Amazon organizations
  • Influence design and development of strategic procurement programs, using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Recognize and resolve issues, providing hands-on support to ensure procurement programs operate successfully across all locations
  • Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, and escalating as appropriate
  • Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to milestones and performance across all projects
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Experience in program or project management, implementing repeatable processes, and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience leading process improvements, stakeholder management, and building processes, project management, and schedules
Preferred Qualifications

A competitive salary is offered for this role, estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
