About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced social worker to join our Safeguarding Unit as a Pathway Plan Reviewing Officer on a permanent, part-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in advocating for care-experienced young people and ensuring they have the best possible permanence plan secured in a timely manner.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Chair multi-agency reviews for cared-experienced young people, ensuring their voices are heard and all agencies are fulfilling their duties.
  • Track the progress of plans for our young people and provide advice, guidance, and challenge to staff to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to maintaining practice standards and be part of the collaborative audit schedule.
  • Work closely with children's social care teams, education, health, and providers, as well as other members of the Independent Safeguarding Unit.
About You

We are looking for a qualified social worker with significant experience of working within statutory children's settings, a sound, up-to-date knowledge of supporting care-experienced young people, including legislation, policies, and procedures, and independence planning.

It would be ideal if you had previous experience as a Pathway Plan Reviewing Officer or Independent Reviewing Officer, or supervising others. You will need to be able to work calmly and constructively under pressure in a multi-disciplinary arena, and have the ability to communicate and engage with children, young people, and their parents/carers.
