About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Forklift Technician to join our team at Briggs Equipment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems within our range of Materials Handling and Powered Access Equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems on customer premises and in our workshop locations.">
  • Work closely with experienced engineers to develop your skills and knowledge.">
  • Complete apprenticeship qualification tasks independently, managing and prioritizing your workload under pressure.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A basic knowledge of health and safety principles.">
  • Basic IT skills, including email, websites, and text documents.">
  • Able to work effectively with colleagues and customers, demonstrating clear, polite, and professional communication skills.">
  • Prior work or voluntary experience in maintenance/repair is desirable.">

Salary and Benefits

">

The salary for this role is £15,700 in Year 1, progressing to £25,000 in Year 4 (subject to satisfactory performance). You will also be eligible for our contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, and other benefits.
