Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Specialist to join our Facilities Management team at the City of Edinburgh Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality cleaning service across our estate, ensuring our properties are safe and clean places to work or learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a comprehensive cleaning service, including emptying litter and recycling bins, cleaning surfaces, sanitary areas, and equipment.
  • Assist in emergency and reactive cleaning situations, such as removal of graffiti, body fluid spillages, or accidental spillages.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and adhere to our cleaning specification requirements.
  • Care for and maintain all equipment used in carrying out cleaning duties.
  • Support cleaning tasks across other buildings as required.
