Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Kier Professional Services (KPS) team based in Manchester. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be working within the Kier Professional Services team, supporting them with the delivery of a broad range of Electrical related services. You will also contribute to the delivery of more complex services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Design: Outline engineering design from feasibility, design briefs, or detailed user requirement specifications.
  • Specification Development: Production of detailed specifications to facilitate compliance with client requirements, e.g. Control philosophy, Cable selection & calculations, Cable, Load, & Instrument Schedules, Instrument selection, Cable Block and P&ID Diagrams
  • Load Analysis and Cabling Design: Production of load analysis, field cabling design and discrimination in line with BS7671, using proprietary software.
  • Transformer and Generator Review: Review and sizing of transformers & generators.
  • Quotation Preparation: Preparations of Electrical Design work quotations.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Technician or incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. EngTech MICE, IEng MICE, etc.)
  • Experience: Relevant postgraduate experience
  • Electrical Lighting Design Experience: Electrical lighting design experience
