About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Back-end Engineer to join our team at Seat Unique. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable, and secure back-end services using Ruby on Rails.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality back-end services using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL
  • Collaborate with our agile team to deliver features and resolve technical issues
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for consumption by web and mobile applications
  • Ensure the scalability and performance of our back-end services
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our engineering practices
Requirements
  • Proven experience building back-end services with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL
  • Deep knowledge of the Rails and Ruby ecosystem, including tools and best practices
  • Experience with common Rails gems like Sidekiq, Devise, and RSpec
  • Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and when to use them
  • Relational database design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance
  • Experience scaling back-end services in a rapidly growing business with high traffic spikes
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
