We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic special school located just outside of Taunton. Our school aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where learning becomes an enjoyable experience, embodying the values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Caring.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with speech and language delay, impairments or disorder, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, and/or moderate and severe learning difficulties. Your role will involve working closely with students and tutors to ensure their learning needs are met with a positive attitude.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized support to students with SEN
  • Assisting students with learning activities and lessons
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support students with SEN
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective support

We are looking for a confident and flexible individual who can demonstrate maturity and positivity in the role. Experience of working in a secondary school mainstream environment, supporting students with learning difficulties, is highly desirable. If you have worked in a special educational school prior to your application, this will be a significant advantage.
