Job Summary:
This innovative organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist with a strong background in manufacturing/machined parts inspection. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and approve incoming materials by verifying specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Inspect in-process production by verifying specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating necessary adjustments to the supervisor.
  • Approve finished products by verifying specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarising re-work and waste, and inputting data into the Quality database.
  • Keep measurement equipment operational by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, liaising with Purchasing and Engineering for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record as a Manufacturing/Production Quality Inspector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read project and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent.
  • ONC/D in Manufacturing or City & Guilds Mechanical & Production Engineering.
  • Relevant Quality Inspection Qualifications.
Working Hours:
  • 39.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 – 16:00.
  • Friday: 7:30 – 13:00.
