Job Title: Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our established maintenance team at Spire Yale Hospital in Wrexham.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified engineer to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing maintenance and repair services to our hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance programme for all building services, utilising the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Assist the Engineering Services Manager as point of contact for external contractors, managing those contractors whilst on site in line with Spire policy
  • Undertake maintenance/testing of plant/equipment, ensuring compliance with current HTM recommendations/PPM Schedules and manufacturers' instructions, keeping all necessary records
  • Provide out-of-hours emergency on-call service on a rota, with some ad-hoc out-of-hours working
  • Provide in-house day-to-day maintenance service
Requirements:
  • Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with C&G qualification in Electrical or Mechanical field
  • Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas
  • Significant experience in building services management with a track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of building services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products
