We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at The New Private Hospital in Birmingham.
The ICU is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide exceptional care to patients with complex medical needs. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department, supporting and mentoring the wider team, and leading the unit in the absence of the Ward Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing in-depth clinical knowledge to guide and support the team.
- Support and mentor junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Lead the ICU team in the absence of the Ward Manager, ensuring seamless operation and effective decision-making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care pathways and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin.
- Recognised post-graduate Critical Care Course (30 credits minimum).
- Cardiac and General ICU experience.
- ALS/ILS training.
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
