Position Overview

Role Summary:


We are seeking a Trainee Heavy Plant Engineer eager to embark on a fulfilling career in Heavy Plant engineering.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this position will provide you with the opportunity to acquire and develop skills essential for a successful career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

As you engage in your ongoing educational commitments, your daily responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating within a close-knit team in a workshop setting.
- Gaining hands-on experience with a wide array of technologically advanced machinery under supervision.

Areas of Learning:
- Conducting major repair tasks.
- Understanding the components utilized in machinery.
- Recognizing the significance of teamwork and effective communication.
- Learning the advantages of strategic planning and scheduling for repair assignments.
- Familiarizing yourself with the workings of key components.
- Preparing for disassembly through thorough planning.
- Performing internal inspections of disassembled parts according to manufacturer specifications.
- Appreciating the role of back-office support and associated duties.
- Assisting in the installation of MDiG equipment.

Educational Requirements:
