About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality lessons and contributing to the development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans.
  • Lead small group sessions and provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and behavior.
  • Assist in planning and preparing educational materials.
  • Provide cover for lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of education.
Requirements
  • A recognized Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, including Maths and English GCSE graded 4 (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • The ability to motivate and encourage students.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • An understanding of strategies to support student behavior and engagement.
